House keeping services are prompt. Rohit , Manisha and Brijesh are in House keeping department did their job very well . Their behaviour is very polite. They understand their job well. I will remember for a long Mr Vinod for his better services during Lunch and Dinner on 7th/ 8th Feb’26 at Emerald and Sapphire hall. Overall our stay and event was highly successful because of the personal intervention of Mittal Madam. I will definitely suggest the people to chose Hotel Sayaji for any kind of party , event or family stay if you are in Vadodra. Sayaji is known for its food quality .
I had heard a lot about Sayaji Hotel, Vadodara, but unfortunately my experience did not meet the expectations associated with a 5-star property. I have been staying here for the past two weeks, and the overall service has been quite disappointing. Room service, especially cleaning, is not done properly. Basic things are often not changed or maintained as expected from a hotel of this standard. The restaurant experience has been equally unsatisfactory. The food quality is poor, and the menu remains the same every single day. Having the same dishes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner on a daily basis becomes very frustrating, especially for long-stay guests. The taste of most items is also very similar and lacks variety. Another concern is the behavior of the staff. It appears that only a few “special guests” receive special attention, while others are often ignored. The restaurant staff, in particular, seems more focused on avoiding work rather than providing good service, and their response is generally slow and unprofessional, except for a few individuals. This is a 5-star hotel, and guests choose such properties for comfort, quality, and service. When guests are paying a premium price, they deserve respectful treatment, good food, and consistent service. I genuinely hope the management takes this feedback seriously and works on improving service quality, staff behavior, housekeeping standards, and food variety.
The hospitality standards of Sayaji hotel are lying in the gutters. They have deteriorated so much from the past. The staff here is bureaucratic, and they have a rotten management that does not train and empower their staff to make the right calls. I came out of a room, left the card key inside, a staff member saw me come out of the room, I asked him to open my room to get the key back, he had to ask his manager, and they declined and wanted me to go down to the reception (6 floors down) to ask the same person to come up and open my room for me. Nobody wants this non sense after spending money and being tired from an 8 hour car travel. The rooms also have an archaic system. One of my rooms did not unlock even after repeatedly swiping the card. The attendant offered to get it fixed, I stayed up one hour to find no one is coming. They refused to modernise and keep up with the growing times. There are better places to spend your money than here. Never get a room with them even if it is dirt cheap.
We stayed a night during our road trip in their premium room, as it’s newly built the quality is good for tier 3 city. Service standards needs to improve considerably across all their hotels. It’s a 3 star service and facility. Food is very good and that’s why we choose it again in Indore but overall a poor stay and experience in Indore.
The 5* rating is very misleading Firstly be careful when reading reviews as a lot of the 5* ratings are for the restaurant NOT the hotel. My fiancé and I stayed here for 4 nights and did not sleep well once! Upon check-in, we specifically asked the staff for a quiet room as we hadn’t had slept the night before. We were assured our room was in a quiet area however first thing in the morning, we hear lots of screaming , shouting, people talking to each other with their doors open. Turns out there was a wedding on that floor with the ceremony also taking place on that floor, both of which the staff failed to mention! This should have been communicated when we arrived. On two occasions, our room service orders did not arrive. The beds were also not as comfortable as we expected, again the given the rating. And there may as well have been no walls, you could hear everything! Whilst when we raised these issues, the staff did accommodate us by moving us to different rooms, we still thought the service could have been more friendly rather than a little dismissive when we had genuine issues. Overall we would expect much better service and facilities for the rating and we were very disappointed with our stay. I do hope they improve but at the moment, we definitely would not recommend and won’t be staying here again.
