Had a very disappointing experience at Kirti Jotwani, Lucknow. When my friend and I walked in, we were initially quoted ₹500 for a “Parachute hair oil massage.” Later, the owner intervened and said the stylist had quoted the wrong price and that the actual cost was ₹800. This sudden change itself was a big red flag. Even well-established professional salons like Geetanjali don’t charge this much for such a basic oil massage, so the pricing felt completely unjustified. During the service, an excessive amount of oil was poured on my hair, it was literally drenched. I’ve had head massages multiple times at reputed salons across different cities, and this is not how a professional oil massage is done. There’s a clear difference between a relaxing treatment and carelessly dumping oil. Instead of acknowledging or correcting the issue, the owner kept justifying it repeatedly by saying “head massage and head wash go together.” That logic made no sense, I’ve taken the same service countless times elsewhere without any such compulsion. Hospitality and client understanding were completely missing. On top of that, the staff seemed poorly trained and unprofessional, with no idea how to communicate or deal with clients properly. It honestly felt like prices were being judged based on whether the client looks like they can afford it or not, which is extremely uncomfortable and unprofessional. Overall, overpriced services, untrained staff, poor customer handling, and zero accountability. Definitely not the experience one expects from a reputed salon.
