visited Ishita’s salon based on its reputation for hair colour. I’m sharing my experience so others can make an informed decision. This is not written with negativity, and I am not seeking a refund. The staff was polite, and I have no complaints about their behaviour.
However, the overall experience and result were disappointing. The salon is difficult to reach by phone, with calls going unanswered and communication mostly on WhatsApp. Despite an appointment, I waited about 30 minutes.
During consultation, I showed reference photos. I was told those shades weren’t achievable and was shown alternative references on a tablet, which we agreed on. Bleaching was recommended, and as a first-time client, I trusted the advice. I was later told Streax products were used. The process took nearly 5 hours, and the final colour turned out much lighter than discussed. When I raised this, I was told the reference image was edited. Toning was offered later, but at my second visit Ishita wasn’t present and the service was done by an assistant.
The biggest concern was hair damage. My hair felt extremely dry immediately after, and post-toning it became very dry, frizzy, and started breaking and falling excessively despite using recommended products. I later consulted another salon for repair and was told the processing appeared harsh and the shade may have been achievable with less damage.
Considering the premium pricing, I expected healthier results and closer supervision, which unfortunately did not happen. The only service I would personally recommend here is threading.
Reply- Calls weren’t answered during business hours — not once, not twice. I called when I reached and again on the appointment day. No call back either time. I was told a thorough consultation would be done, which is why I booked in the first place. Being a first-time client, that discussion mattered. Instead, I was left waiting about 40 minutes (I said 30 earlier just to be polite, which was conveniently reduced even further).
I agreed to the reference hair colour shown to me, so naturally I expected something close to that. The result looks nothing like it. I’m now sharing pictures — the difference is obvious to anyone, professional or not.
I chose this place purely because of the brand name. When customers pay a premium for a name, they expect matching standards and accountability. Sadly, that’s missing. Looking at other reviews, this seems to be a pattern.
Sharing this so others don’t make the same mistake. At the very least, proper consent forms should be signed so customers have some protection — especially when results go this wrong. Glad I am able to help future clients of yours so that they don’t face the same thing.
