We had booked the party hall for a baby shower, but sadly, we had to cancel the event due to a sudden death in the family. Despite informing the hall owner in advance, they refused to refund any amount. Adding to the disappointment, they insist on booking decorations only through their own vendors. I had coordinated with one of their recommended decorators, Deepika, and agreed to pay ₹19,000 for the decoration. She requested ₹13,000 as an advance, which I paid. As soon as we received the unfortunate news, I immediately informed her that the event was cancelled. She claimed that only the welcome board was printed and the rest would be put on hold. Later, when I reached out to reschedule the event, the hall was unavailable on the date I requested. I then asked Deepika to refund the remaining amount after deducting the cost of the board. Shockingly, she refused, stating that the money had already gone to labourers—despite me cancelling three days before the event, and no actual work being done. This experience was deeply upsetting. These people seem to care more about money than basic human decency. It’s heartbreaking to see such insensitivity during a time of loss. Please be cautious before making any bookings with them. These people are money mongers who have no sentiments or humanity and make money on top of a dead person. Kindly beware!!
