I am writing this review with deep disappointment and emotional stress caused by Malabar Gold & Diamonds, specifically the Satellite and C.G. Road branches, Ahmedabad. When I placed an order for a gold ring at the Malabar store, I clearly informed the sales executive that my available balance was around ₹30,000. Even after explaining this multiple times, the salesperson confidently assured me that my customized ring would be made within ₹25,000 and asked me not to worry. Based on this false commitment, I placed the order. However, when the ring arrived after one month, I was suddenly asked to pay an additional ₹8,000–₹9,000, which was never informed to me earlier. I did not even have that amount in my account at that time, and I had to arrange it urgently from outside. This was extremely stressful and unfair. Just two days after purchasing the ring, I faced a serious personal emergency and requested Malabar for a refund. Instead of showing empathy or support, I was immediately told that making charges and GST would be deducted. Even though this entire situation happened because of Malabar’s wrong commitment, I was given no support at all. I then went to the C.G. Road branch (which is near my home), but they refused to help and said my case could only be handled by the Satellite branch. They even connected me on a call to the Satellite branch manager, who spoke in a very rude and insensitive manner. He even made personal comments about my life and choices, which was highly inappropriate and unprofessional. I was so emotionally distressed that I literally cried at the C.G. Road branch. You may check your CCTV footage for proof. This is not the kind of treatment anyone expects from a reputed brand like Malabar. Wrong commitment, hidden charges, zero empathy, rude behavior, and no inter-branch support — this entire experience has completely broken my trust. After this experience, I will never choose Malabar Gold again, and I will also strongly advise my friends and family not to buy from Malabar. A premium brand should act like one — but Malabar completely failed in my case.
